- Development-stage company formed in 2004 by The Ohio State University
and two faculty members who are inventors of the Company’s technology.
- Omeris, organized formed to promote the bioscience industry in
Ohio, is a co-founder (www.omeris.org
).
- Capitalized by $1.56 million in grant money from Ohio’s Third
Frontier Action Fund (www.thirdfrontier.com/overview.asp)and
matching funds from the National Science Foundation.
- Funds are being used to conduct technology development and to create
commercialization infrastructure.
- Since inception, the Company has resided at the Columbus, Ohio
Business Technology Center, which in 2003 was recognized by the National
Business Incubator Association as the Randall M. Whaley Incubator
of the Year (www.btccolumbus.com).
